- William Blake
In March of 1961, Ray and fellow UCLA musicians John Halliberton (bass) and Sam Beale (drums) play at the Lighthouse Jazz Club. They play a jazzy set consisting of the songs Moanin’, Softly As In The Morning Sunrise, Joey, Ikin Retnin (an original tune) and Around Midnight. Check out this recording from that night.. the earliest known recording of Ray.
